Animal Removal Services

How Humane Animal Removal Works

When you request animal removal from your home or property , you can help speed up the process by providing as much background information as possible. That way I can determine the type of animal, develop a strategy to address your problem, and give you an accurate quote for the job.

Traps are placed Monday-Friday, and I’ll come every day to check them. If any animals are caught, I’ll remove them and reset the traps. This process continues until your job is complete.

Also, I’ll help you identify and repair any entry holes. If a home inspection is necessary, you’ll know before the animal removal service begins – and that fee is added the trapping work.

Common Nuisance Animals Found in the Rochester Area

Woodchucks – Woodchucks are excellent diggers and can create tunnels exceeding 30 feet in length. Although known to cause foundation problems, they more frequently damage smaller structures such as sheds, out building and wood decks. On a less costly note, woodchucks will regularly raid your garden and fruit trees.
Skunks – Skunks are capable of spraying as early as two weeks old, and their spray can reach as far as 16 feet. Beyond their noxious odor, skunks will also destroy your yard when searching for grubs, a delicacy for our black and white friends.
Squirrels – It’s not only in the movies that squirrels jump from Christmas trees. Having a squirrel in your home is not at all uncommon. However, you should never attempt to deal with a trapped squirrel by yourself. They scare easily and will protect themselves. Squirrels are a problem outside the house as well. They will chew on just about anything and have a field day in your garage.
Raccoons – Although very cute, raccoons can be extremely harmful. When raccoons are cornered or feel threatened, they become very aggressive. Raccoons can carry rabies and also tend to spread roundworm through their feces. Because of this, even if you have raccoons living around your home, you may want to consider relocating them to rid your yard of the roundworm threat.
Opossums – Opossums are known to avoid conflict. The saying “playing possum” comes from the fact that when an opossum feels threatened, it will enter an almost comatose state and appear dead. While this seems harmless, it can lead to people unsafely approaching a wild animal with 50 sharp teeth.
Rats and Mice – Beyond unseen infestation, you must always consider the health concerns associated with rats. If you find evidence of rat or mice droppings, strongly consider a professional inspection.
Bats – Bats may be the most “feared” animals I deal with. In fact, bats are not very dangerous. However, they are sometimes difficult to remove from homes, as they often live in attics. When this occurs, you typically have more than one bat. Their dropping can cause health problems for humans.
